He was also known as “Baba Bulleh Shah” or “Bulleh Shah” which means “the king of poets”.
Poet Baba Bulle Shah lived during the era of the Mughal Empire. He entered this world in the year 1750, having been born in the little Indian town of Kallur, not far from the city of Amritsar. He was born into the Jat clan and the Muslim faith. He had a solid grasp of both the English and Persian languages, demonstrating his impressive level of education. Poetically gifted, he penned over 300 ghazals. The title "King of Poets" (Baba Bulleh Shaha) was another one of his nicknames.
