Ju Naiki Kar Ke Phir Darya Mein Esko Daly

جو نیکی کر کے پھر دریا میں اس کو ڈال جاتا ہے
Whoever does goodness and then throws it into the river

وہ جب دنیا سے جاتا ہے تو مالا مال جاتا ہے
When he leaves this world; he goes rich

سنبھل کر ہی قدم رکھنا بیابان محبت میں
Be careful while stepping into the desert of love

یہاں سے جو بھی جاتا ہے بڑا بے حال جاتا ہے
Whoever goes from here; goes languorous

کبھی بھوکے پڑوسی کی خبر تو لی نہیں اس نے
He never took notice of a hungry neighbor,

مگر کرنے وہ عمرہ اور حج ہر سال جاتا ہے
But he goes for Umrah and
Hajj (pilgrimage) every year

مناؤں ہر برس جشن ولادت کس لئے آخر
Why should I celebrate my birthday every year?

یہاں ہر سال میری عمر کا اک سال جاتا ہے
Every year, one year of my age subsides here

ہے دنیا تک ہی اپنی دسترس میں دولت دنیا
The wealth of this world is
in our hands only in this world

فقط ہم راہ اپنے نامۂ اعمال جاتا ہے
Only record of deeds
goes (in the next world) with us

بنا دیکھے خدا کو مانتا ہوں اس لئے ساحلؔ
I have faith in the existence of
God without seeing Him; Sahil! because

کوئی تو ہے جو ہم کو روز دانہ ڈال جاتا ہے
There is surely Someone who provides us grain everyday.
