جام تھا تو نے پلایا آنکھ سے
دل ہے سو مخمور تیری یاد میں
You made me to drink glass of wine by your
eyes ( Your eyes made me drowsy like) that
My heart is swirling
ecstatically in your memory

میکدے سے چل دیے ہیں سب ہی تو
ہم ہیں بیٹھے چور تیری یاد میں
Everyone walked away from the alehouse
I am still sitting dispersed in your memory

میری سوچیں میرا دل ہے جان تُو

You are my thoughtsmy heart and my life 
I'm far away from you in your memory

کلمہء حق عشق تیرا یار ہے
ہو گئے منصور تیری یاد میں
Your love is confession of faith (truth) my dear
I become Mansoor in your memory

کربلا ہے زندگی تیرے بنا
سانس ہے عاشور تیری یاد میں
Without you my life is Karbala
 (full of pain and sorrow)
In your memory my breathe is Ashur
 ( extremely sorrowful)

مانگ کا سندور تیری یاد میں
O my beloved your sorrow is in my heartrecongize it Akhtar
This tilak (spot) that I have on my  forehead, is in your memory
